This Privacy Policy explains what information the Birdsong Match game collects, how it is used, and your choices. Birdsong Match is built and operated by Tech Artists ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy applies to the Birdsong Match app and the birdsongmatch.app website.

  • No account. We never ask for your name, email address or a sign-up.
  • Your game stays on your phone. Progress, settings and your Remove Ads purchase are saved on your device. We have no server holding your data.
  • No ads until Level 10. After you have cleared Level 10, Google AdMob may show ads. Every ad request asks for non-personalized ads.
  • Google handles payments. Remove Ads is bought through Google Play. We never see your payment details.
  • We don't sell your information. The game has no analytics or tracking service of our own.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you give us

You can play without giving us anything. If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it only to answer you.

1.2 Information kept on your device

The game saves the following on your device only. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else:

WhatWhy
Game progress: levels completed, Stars, Coins and restorationsSo you can continue where you left off
Music and sound-effect volume settingsSo the game sounds the way you set it
Whether you own Remove AdsSo the ads between levels stay off, even offline
A local play log: levels attempted, moves used, hints, special pieces, rewards, ads shown and purchase results, with timestampsTo help us study the game's balance during testing; it stays on the device

Deleting the app deletes all of this.

1.3 Information collected by Google AdMob

No ads of any kind are shown, and the ad service is not started, until you have cleared Level 10 for the first time. From then on, Birdsong Match uses Google AdMob to show two kinds of ads: a short full-screen ad that may appear between levels, and rewarded ads you can choose to watch for a benefit (five extra moves, or an extra Hammer).

When AdMob is active, Google collects information needed to deliver, measure and protect ads, which may include:

Every ad request the game makes asks for non-personalized ads, so ads are chosen from context such as the app and your general region rather than from a profile of what you do in other apps. Ads are limited to content rated for general and parental-guidance audiences. Google's use of this information is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and in the Google Privacy Policy.

Europe, the UK and Switzerland: before any ad is requested, the game shows Google's consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform) and respects your choice. No ad is requested until you have made one.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings (Settings › Privacy › Ads, or Settings › Google › Ads, depending on your phone).

1.4 Purchases

The optional Remove Ads purchase is processed by Google Play. Google tells the game whether your account owns it; we never receive your name, card number or other payment details. Google's handling of your purchase is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service.

1.5 Crash reports

The game contains no crash-reporting or analytics service of our own. If you have allowed it in your phone's settings, Google Play may share aggregated, anonymous crash and performance statistics with us through the Play Console.

What we do not collect: your name, email address (unless you write to us), phone number, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, precise location, health data, or browsing history.

2. How we use information

We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not sell or rent it.

3. Legal bases (EEA and UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on: performance of a contract to provide the game; consent, collected through Google's consent form, for ad-related processing on your device; legitimate interests to fix bugs and prevent fraud; and legal obligations where they apply.

4. Children

Birdsong Match is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example in a support email, contact us and we will delete it.

5. How information is shared

6. Retention

7. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the little information we hold, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Because the game keeps your data on your device, deleting the app removes it. To change your ad-consent choice, clear the app's data or reinstall it and choose again when the form appears. For anything else, email techartists.support@gmail.com.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete or correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

9. International transfers

Tech Artists is based in the United States. Information handled by our service providers, such as Google, may be processed in the United States or other countries, with appropriate safeguards where the law requires them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will give more prominent notice in the app or on this website.
